Copyright Policy

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Boston Globe’s Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy or anywhere else on a Site (as defined in the Boston Globe’s Terms of Service), by confirming acceptance of this Policy and hitting “Submit,” the user of the Love Letters website:

1. irrevocably assigns to The Boston Globe all worldwide rights, title and interest in all copyrights and other intellectual property rights in his or her submission (“User Submission”) free of charge, and acknowledges and confirms such assignment;

2. acknowledges and agrees that The Boston Globe will be entitled to use User Submissions (or any portion thereof) for any purpose whatsoever without restriction and without compensating the user in any way; and

3. represents to the Boston Globe that he or she has the right to submit the User Submission, that all User Submissions will be deemed non-confidential, and that the Boston Globe shall not be liable for any use or disclosure of any User Submission.
